COVID-19  #Stayathome

Due to the recent Government announcements over social contact and non-essential travel aimed at slowing the spread of the Coronavirus, I will be departing from the established “normal” of in-person counselling and offering instead online or telephone counselling sessions.

Online Counselling:
Online counselling therapy is a way for you to engage in counselling using internet technology such as email, online chat, telephone or webcam video.  You direct your counselling by selecting the method of communication you feel most comfortable with. With your counsellor, you agree the time, place and pace of your counselling sessions to suit your needs. Every effort is made to provide a safe and secure environment for your online therapy with encryption software to protect your confidentiality and security.

What counselling can offer you:
Talking therapy offers you a safe, confidential space to talk about your life and anything that you may be finding confusing, painful or uncomfortable.
It allows you to talk with someone who is trained to listen attentively and non-judgmentally, working with you to make changes where you deem beneficial.

How I work:
I work in an integrative style, incorporating elements from different therapeutic approaches, as appropriate, within a mindfulness-informed, person centred foundation that puts you at the centre of our work together.

About me:
I am an experienced, BACP (COP) Registered, counsellor.  I commenced my counselling training in 2010 and completed my post-graduate (Masters level) counselling training in 2014.  I am also a trained Mindfulness Teacher (Bangor CMRP), with a daily meditation practice which informs my counselling approach.  Also a member of the Mountain Training Association, (MTA – Lowland Leader Award), I offer personal development counselling outdoors – and lead mindfulness meditation retreat walks in beautiful North Wales.
